How Vampire Facials Work:

Our vampire facial in San Diego is a non-invasive, virtually painless treatment that harnesses the power of your body’s natural healing response. Using micro-needles, we introduce Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) back into your skin.

What Vampire Facials Achieve

By introducing Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) into your skin using microneedling, vampire facials boost collagen production, effectively reducing fine lines and wrinkles, resulting in firmer, more youthful skin. These facials also improve moisture retention and enhance skin tone and texture, contributing to a radiant complexion.

When to Expect Results from a Vampire Facial

While Vampire Facials can yield immediate improvements in skin texture and tone, it’s essential to understand that the full transformative effects take time to become apparent. More noticeable and dramatic results typically emerge over the course of several weeks and months following your initial session.

Right After: Following your vampire facial, the dynamic combination of hyaluronic acid fillers and PRP immediately begins its rejuvenating work. Many individuals notice a visible enhancement in skin tone and texture right away.

Within One Week: As the initial week unfolds, the fillers settle in, and the treatment’s effects become increasingly noticeable. During this time, any temporary side effects like redness and irritation usually subside, revealing your refreshed and revitalized appearance.

Around Three Months: Your body’s natural collagen production is stimulated by the vampire facial, a process that takes time. As a result, the most optimal and lasting results become apparent several months after your initial treatment! This gradual progression ensures that your skin achieves a healthier, more youthful state over time.

Vampire Facials —What To Expect Before, During, and After?

Before your vampire facial at Katalyst Wellness, we ensure your skin is clean and makeup-free. We draw a small amount of your blood, approximately 2 teaspoons, directly from a vein in your arm. This blood is then processed in a centrifuge machine to create Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) concentration, which takes about 15 minutes.

While your PRP is being prepared, your skin is cleansed for the treatment. We apply a numbing cream for your comfort. Next, we use a micro-needling device to create tiny, shallow needle wounds in your skin. Then, the PRP is applied and massaged back into your skin. This process stimulates healing, reducing wrinkles and improving skin texture!

You may experience some redness and skin sensitivity, but there’s minimal downtime. Typically, redness subsides within 1 to 4 days. Your skin will feel tighter, and you can resume your regular skincare routine, including makeup, after 48 hours. The “Vampire Facial” name may sound intense, but the procedure itself is gentle and provides remarkable results!
