Crunched For Time? Ask About An IV Push.

One thing that might be holding you back from getting an IV is the time it takes to administer, which is about 45 minutes.

If you’re crunched for time and already well hydrated you can opt for an IV push which gives you all the same benefits as a full IV in just ~5 minutes.

Ask our staff if an IV push is right for you.

IV Therapy FAQs

What is IV Therapy?
IV is short for intravenous (in the vein). Through IV Therapy we provide hydration and/or vitamins and minerals by using a small catheter that’s placed directly into the vein. IV therapy gives you the highest rate of bioavailable vitamins and minerals. Far more than oral or intra-muscular shots.
Is IV Therapy safe?
Yes. All IVs are administered by a registered nurse and performed under the supervision of Dr. Camhi. Before a client receives IV therapy, their health history is evaluated and allergies are reviewed. Side effects from an IV drip are generally non-existent or very mild. On occasion, you may experience some discomfort, bruising, itching, inflammation, or redness at or around the site of injection, and this could last from a few minutes to several days. However, true allergic reactions are extremely rare.
How long does IV Therapy take?
The whole process will take about 30-45 minutes to complete a full hydrating IV. For patients who drink plenty of water an IV push gets you all the same vitamins and benefits and takes just 5 minutes! There are a few forms to complete prior to your infusion as well as a quick medical assessment.
What side effects does IV Therapy have?
Side effects are generally non-existent or very mild. On occasion, you may experience some discomfort, bruising, redness, itching, inflammation, or redness at or around the site of injection that could last from a few minutes to several days. True allergic reactions are extremely rare. However, if you experience throat swelling, pruritic body rash, dangerously low blood pressure, or symptoms associated with anaphylaxis following administration of an injection, visit your nearest emergency department. If you know you are allergic to any of the ingredients — please avoid it!
Does IV Therapy hurt?
Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, but we strive to stick everyone just once with our experienced Registered Nurses.
How often should I get Vitamin IV Therapy?
The frequency of IV therapy is determined on a patient by patient basis. We take a customized approach to suit your individual needs. For preventative health and wellness, we recommend 4 IV drips per month to help balance out any vitamin deficiencies.
What Is the difference between an IV and an IV Push?
An IV treatment will include anywhere from 100cc-500c+ of fluid that is given with the vitamins and nutrients that are selected. In an IV push, we just provide the vitamins and/or nutrients that are selected without the additional fluid. Thus, the administration time of an IV push would be just a few minutes.
What Is the difference between IV Therapy and an IM Shot?
When someone gets IV Therapy or an IV push, the vitamins and/or nutrients are introduced directly into the bloodstream via a peripheral vein. IM stands for Intra-Muscular and is given as a shot into a muscle – usually the upper arm or gluteal region.
